Wallpaper
For a number of weeks prior to viewing the Mike Kelley exhibition, which consisted of Kitsch religious models, I have been looking at similar Kitsch models personal to British culture, for example seen in Fig.1. However I find these ornaments are more common amongst my grandparents generation. I like the idea of playing with images personal to my generation and representing the less traditional elements of contemporary life disguised as a traditional British kitsch model. I wish to accompany this with a generic, twee wall paper, (for example something similar to Fig.2, but then also subtly manipulated to includes images representative of a Britain that I am more familiar with. This is a very loose idea at the moment that needs refinement.
